This website provides archival information concerning the international performances held under the "Program to Support International Artistic Exchange", which is promoted by the Japanese government's Agency for Cultural Affairs. It is designed to introduce outstanding Japanese stage arts to the world, and to provide a useful gateway (portal) for accessing the recent international activities of Japanese stage art groups. The "Program to Support International Artistic Exchange" offers support for outstanding Japanese art groups when they participate in overseas festivals or perform as part of art exchanges with foreign countries. This program focuses on the following categories of performances and arts (commercial performances are excluded):

• Bilateral art exchanges (exchange performances held in the designated national exchange years)
