Cultural Properties Protection Week

Cultural Properties Protection Week starts November 1 and ends on November 7 every year. During this week, owners of cultural properties and prefectural and municipal Boards of Education proactively provide opportunities to get in touch with Japan’s history and culture, by organizing exhibitions of historical structures and fine arts and crafts, tours of historical sites, traditional performing arts show, and various other events held across the country.

Cultural properties are invaluable assets that all citizens share. There will be events held near you. Please take this opportunity to participate in various events and experience the history and culture of Japan.
