Our mission at the Agency for Cultural Affairs is to communicate Japan’s culture and arts to the world and pass them down to the next generations.
The culture and arts created by our predecessors are invaluable assets for Japan. We are protecting these assets and carrying out measures to make sure we leave them to future generations.
We create places and opportunities for people to come into contact with culture and the arts. We are also creating mechanisms for people to foster new cultural arts.
We are connecting people around the world with culture and the arts as a hub. Knowing each other’s culture brings wonderful benefits to people.
Japan’s culture and arts are not monocolored but are like gradations over a rich spectrum of colors. We are communicating this richly hued culture to people around the world and to the next generations.
