3月26日、小林副大臣はリトアニア共和国のアレクナヴィチエネ文化大臣の表敬訪問を受けました。

小林副大臣は、アレクナヴィチエネ大臣の訪問を歓迎するとともに、リトアニアの画家・作曲家ミカロユス・コンスタンティナス・チュルリョーニスの展覧会が、国立西洋美術館において開催されることに祝意を表しました。また、このような文化機関間の交流を契機として、両国の文化交流がさらに深まることへの期待を述べました。

アレクナヴィチエネ大臣は、日リトアニアの協力関係に触れつつ、これまで両国が文化分野における様々な協力関係を築いてきたことを重要視され、日本との連携の推進に意欲を示されました。

On March 26, State Minister Kobayashi received a courtesy call from H.E. Ms. Vaida Aleknavičienė, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania. State Minister Kobayashi welcomed Minister Aleknavičienė’s visit and expressed his pleasure at the exhibition of works by Lithuanian painter and composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis currently being held at the National Museum of Western Art in Japan. Minister Aleknavičienė emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation between Japan and Lithuania across a wide range of cultural fields and expressed her strong interest in further strengthening collaboration with Japan.
