4月2日、伊藤文化庁長官はフランス共和国のカトリーヌ・ペガール文化大臣の表敬訪問を受けました。

伊藤長官は、ぺガール大臣の訪問を歓迎するとともに、昨日署名された日仏文化協力に関する合意書をはじめとする日仏の文化機関間の交流を契機として、両国の文化交流がさらに深まることへの期待を述べました。

ぺガール大臣は、日仏の協力関係に触れつつ、2028年の日仏外交関係樹立170周年を見据え、今後ダイナミックな文化協力に寄与していきたい旨の意欲を示されました。また、ぺガール大臣のほか、フランスの美術館館長や大統領の文化顧問からも伊藤長官に挨拶をいただきました。

Courtesy Call on Commissioner for Cultural Affairs ITO by H.E. Ms. Catherine Pégard Minister of Culture of the French Republic

On April 2, Commissioner for Cultural Affairs ITO received a courtesy call from H.E. Ms. Catherine Pégard, Minister of Culture of the French Republic.
Commissioner Ito welcomed Minister Pégard’s visit and expressed his expectation that cultural exchanges between Japan and France will be further strengthened, taking the opportunity of ongoing exchanges between cultural institutions in both countries, including the agreements on Japan–France Cultural Cooperation signed the previous day.
Minister Pégard highlighted the cooperative relationship between Japan and France and expressed her intention to contribute to the further development of dynamic cultural cooperation, looking ahead to the 170th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2028.
After that, directors of French art museums and a cultural advisor to the President of the French Republic also paid their respects to Commissioner Ito.
