4月13日、伊藤文化庁長官はトルコ共和国のアブドゥルラフマン・アリー ユヌス・エムレ財団理事長の表敬訪問を受けました。

伊藤長官は、アリー理事長の訪問を歓迎するとともに、日本とトルコの両国が伝統と歴史を持つ国で、価値観を同じくする非常に親しい関係を有し、これまでも芸術交流や文化財保護等で連携や協力がなされていること、そして、両国の文化交流がさらに深まることへの期待を述べました。

アリー理事長は、両国の友好関係が極めて大切であることに触れつつ、両国関係は歴史的な厚みを有し、両国民の間にも誠実な関心と親近感が存在している旨を述べられました。また、言語、文化、学術交流、翻訳、出版、文化遺産、そして若い世代に向けた交流の諸分野を総合的に捉えていくことが重要である旨の考えを示されました。

On April 13, Commissioner for Cultural Affairs ITO received a courtesy call from Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Aliy, President of the Yunus Emre Institute (Türkiye).
Commissioner Ito welcomed President Aliy’s visit and expressed his hope that Japan and Türkiye, both countries with rich traditions and histories, share common values and enjoy a very close relationship. He also referred to the ongoing cooperation in areas such as artistic exchange and the protection of cultural properties, and expressed his expectation that cultural exchanges between the two countries will further deepen.
President Aliy emphasized the importance of the friendly relations between the two countries, noting their long-standing historical ties as well as the sincere interest and sense of affinity shared by their peoples. He also expressed his view that it is important to take a comprehensive approach to exchanges across various fields, including language, culture, academic exchange, translation, publishing, cultural heritage, and youth exchange.
